this phone is great for a 4 line office - it is kind of quirky when trying to answer a line that is on hold. Once you get the hang of it - its very practical and cost-effective.

The phone itself works very well. It's a good, 4-line cordless phone. However, it isn't completely compatible with the other phones in our office. We are not able to use the intercom function and when we put a line on hold, the other phones do not show that line as on hold. If we were to have all our office phones like this one, I think it would work a lot better, but we do not need everyone to have cordless phones. As we replace phones, we will transition to all the same type once again and I believe we will slowly be able to use the intercom function for everyone.

We were excited to see that RCA FINALLY came out with a dedicated 4 line cordless and that it was compatible with the other 4 line phones we have. We had tried the "expansion" cordless phones and were very dissapointed due to the fact that you can't pick up a line when it's on hold. Well, this cordless does the exact same thing, meaning if you actually want to use the cordless, you have to either answer the call from this phone, or have it transfered to you extension, exactly like the virtually useless expansion sets. Extremely disssapointed. Do not waste your money on this product. In fact, skip this phone system all together, the phones don't last long before breaking down, the cost is high compared to other similar systems, and the voicemail features are borderline useless. This phones going back.
